The Groupe operated in Italy under the command of 42nd Bombardment Wing, USAAF, arriving at Villacidro on 15 March 1944. The first French B-26 mission was against Porto Ferrajo on 29th March 1944. Their final operation took place on 25th April 1945, and the Groupe was disbanded by June 1945.
