Yokosuka E14Y Glen Skinpack by UncleTgt
This is a collection of repaints for the E14Y Glen made by Baldy for CFS 2.
The textures are:
C-35
Yellow a/c of the Japanese Air Technical Arsenal, circa DEC 1940.
I-5
Aircraft carried by submarine I-5, circa DEC 1941 Overflew Pearl Harbour on 17 DEC 41 for damage assessment mission.
I-9
Aircraft carried by submarine I-9, circa DEC 1941. Another post Pearl Harbour strike recon bird, I've chosen to keep the pre-WW2 red tail intact, even though it's likely it was removed by the time of the Pearl mission.
I-21
Aircraft carried by submarine I-21, circa MAY 1942. One of the 8th Flotilla involved in several recon overflights of Australian & New Zealand port installations. On the 29th May 1942 CAC Wirraways were launched after reports came in of it overflying Sydney Harbour, but contact was not made. Several days later midget subs (from the same group) attack Sydney Harbour.
I-25
Aircraft from submarine I-25, circa SEP 1942. Flown by W/O Fujita, this a/c firebombed Oregon, becoming the only aircraft to bomb the continental US. It's parent submarine had a particularly wide-ranging career.
By 1944 the situation had changed, & the few remaining large subs were being converted into midget sub carriers. All remaining Glens operated from land as coastal reconnaissance aircraft.
671-9
Coastal patrol a/c of the 6th Fleet, based at Fukuyama air station. Depicted circa OCT 1944.
671-16
Coastal patrol a/c of the 6th Fleet, based at Fukuyama air station. Depicted circa MAR 1945.
Indonesia
Based on a single photo of an Indonesian marked E14Y fuselage, circa JAN 1946.
