This is a repaint of the excellent Virtavia B-29 Superfortress to represent 44-61835, 'Dragon Lady', a B-29-50-BN of the 30th Bombardment Squadron, 19th Bombardment Group, Kadena AB, Okinawa in late 1951. A veteran of the 20th Army Air Force in the Northern Marianas during the last days of WWII, 'Dragon Lady' completed over 102 missions before an explosion in No. 3 engine ripped off the right wing and she crashed, just after take-off, on 31st October 1951. All on board were lost.
