This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DK296 which was delivered to the Soviet Union on 20 April 1944 for evaluation, but retained its RAF serial number. "Mosquitos were in action in the USSR with reconnaissance aircraft periodically operating from Soviet bases on the Kola peninsula to monitor Luftwaffe activities in Norway. A courier mail link between the Soviet and British governments, sometimes transporting VIP passengers was also maintained. The Soviets further made a request to acquire a Mosquito. Mosquito B.IV (DK296) was tested but reports noted that it demanded high flying skills and no further purchases were made". Based on the paint kit by Dave Garwood.
HDR_V.2 follows in the footsteps of W4069 (HDR) as it embodies the detailing of the first modified textures but also adds other details and weathering with a view of giving the impression of a well used aircraft as found on the soviet wartime airfields.
