CFS1 Curtiss Wright AT-9A "Jeep."
Upgraded 1943 version of the advanced 1941 twin-engine WWII unarmed trainer, built to prepare pilots for the new generation, high performance B-25, B-26, A-26 and P-38 bombers. Deliberately designed unforgiving and difficult to fly and land, it was however fully acrobatic, and reported by many as delightful if flown by the book. It was powered by two 300 hp Lycoming R680-11 or -13 9-cyl radials, and had a top speed of 200 mph, slightly more than the initial version. It also had revised undercarriage-retraction hydraulics. 300 units were built. Includes SCASM-corrected virtual cockpit view, CFS1 .air file, as well as AFX and PCX Source files, DP files and custom panel for default gauges. By Stephan Scholz.
