The Momi-class destroyers were a class of twenty-one "second-class" destroyers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Their shallow draft made them very useful along the China coast. They were later used to patrol the sea lanes between Japan and the Philippines, Taiwan and the Dutch East Indies.
