New Cloud Texture Set for CFS2 by UncleTgt
This is a reworking of all the cloud textures used by CFS 2.
I've provided 3 different sets of "overcast" textures - each has limitations, due to the way CFS 2 "tiles" overcast clouds like it does with ground textures. It's really difficult to avoid these tile effects.
In the end I settled on Overcast textures that used alpha channels, so they're not "full" overcast. It just looked the most natural to me.
I found DXT3 texture format gave the best results across a variety of lighting/ times of day conditions. Other alpha channel texture formats (444-4, 888-8) seemed to give varying colour shift effects or too granular an alpha channel.
They are all provided as 1024 x 1024 bitmaps - I think today's hardware can cope with the "Hi-Def" imagery.
Installation: Simply copy these into your CFS2/TEXTURE folder.

Thanks to: Pablo Diaz for his HDEv1 & HDEv2 cloud sets for FS9. Most of the cloud alpha textures used were developed from this body of work.
