It shows B-24H-15-FO 42-94759 "The Sharon D." of the 845thBS, 489th BG, based in Halesworth, UK. The aircraft was named after Sharon Drury Vance, the daughter of Medal of Honour recipient Lt.Col. Leon Vance. The aircraft flew with different squadrons and codes throughout it career, including SZ-Z- with the 847th BS, T4-Z- and T4-N- with the 845th BS and RN-M with the 704st BS.
