I always liked the idea of pylon racing aircraft as exemplified by the races in the 1930s. At the time I created these I couldnt find any pylon racing scenery so I created this one, which Ive been using for quite a few years in FSX A and FSX SE, with and without Steve's DX10 fixer applied. Using FS Recorder (http://www.fs-recorder.net/downloads.php) you can enjoy quite imersive races using recorded flights as AI racers or simply racing against the clock. I have not tested it in multiplayer situations but it may work... its not a complicated item and is FSX native.
