Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk A29-82

Kittyhawk A29-82 was one of the first four P-40s to go to No. 2 Operational Training Unit at Mildura, Victoria. This is how it appeared when it was first delivered to that unit.

On January 24, 1943 the aircraft crashed while approaching the strip at Mildura. The pilot, Sgt George Frederick Raffen was killed.
