This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DK291 XD-Q of 139 Squadron RAF. Q for Queenie was the aircraft flown by Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema, while he was serving with 139 squadron. Hazelhoff had one of the more exciting careers during WW II, starting as a law student in Leiden, writing the pamphlet that caused the closure of the university by the Germans, escaping to England on board a Swiss ship, returning to the Netherlands as a secret agent, later joining the RAF and flying 72 missions in Mosquitos and ending the war as Queen Wilhelmina's aide. DK291 was an aircraft that flew with 139 twice, though I am not sure it actually flew as XD-Q.
