German infantry glider used on practically all fronts during the war - most spectacularly in the attack on the Belgian forts at Eben Emael, the attack on Crete and the rescue of Mussolini from the hotel on the Gran Sasso where he was being held prisoner. Less glamourously they were also used for resupply on the Eastern front including Stalingrad and Budapest. They were also used in anti-partisan operations in Southern France and Yugoslavia.
