This is a revision & expansion of Dave Garwood's Avro Anson mk1 model for FS2004, converted for use in CFS 2. Because of the extensive nature of the revisions I've decided to upload as a series of complete aircraft for ease of installation.

This started out as an exercise in improving my G-Max skills. I wanted to depict some of the Anson models used by the RAAF, so a simple conversion of Dave's mk1 (early) with the sloping windscreen wouldn't suffice. The model has been revised, & adapted to provide a range of new models, depicting the various sub-types of the mk1 Anson.

The VC now has 2 panels, one for the main panel & 1 of the floor-mounted compass. I added bombsight & turret gun fixed windows to the panel.cfg & adapted it to use CFS2 compatible gauges.

The crew have individual faces, & the wireless operator's station varies with each model.

I added a few details to the cockpit interior. The prop disk has some depth to it, like Akemi modelled his prop disks.

The door opens/closes using the canopy command.

The airfile was thoroughly revised to give believable performance in speed, range & ceiling in CFS 2, particularly with an eye on how the AI flies & stability in formation. It could still be improved though...

The dp file makes use of my British bombs, & I included trainee crew & noselamp objects, added through the DP as payload options.

To keep the filesize down the sound is aliased to the stock P-38F.

This package depicts the Anson mk1 (mod), as used by 500 sqn RAF during the DUnkirk evacuation. N serial numbered Ansons & later did away with the earlier sloping windscreen & replaced it with a more upright windscreen. I created this by combining elements of Dave's model.1 & model.2. I added the waist mounted Lewis guns through the DP file.

The textures supplied are:

MK-L N5065 Shot down 29th May 1940 whilst flying Shamrock patrols out of Detling in support of the Dunkirk evacuation

MK-V N9732 Pilot P/O Phillip Peters, claimed at least 1 Bf109E in combat off Zeebrugge, 1st June 1940

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to

Dave Garwood, Dave Booker & Saverio Maurri for their original FS2004 aircraft
Shessi & Allen for answering my noob questions regarding G-Max.
A big thank you to Allen for his model tutorial, & DOSmdlc_v2 tools.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
