This is my repaint of Manfred Jahn's C-47 V3.14 in the Florida Keys Mosquito Control livery. One of my favorite aircraft. This paint scheme operated out of Marathon, Florida Keys, and flew from North Miami to Key West. She was in service from 1984 to 1996.
In 1944 she was constructed as a TC-47B-35-DK by Douglas at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.She served with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-76900. Then with the United States Navy with BuNo 99840 as a R4D-7. Several owners in between before Monroe County bought her. And retired in 1996.
Being a Native Miamian, it was a great sight to see such a large aircraft fly at 250 feet, and less.
Thanks again to Manfred Jahn and Visser for a great model update!
