C-47 eW was first used as transportation for VIPs which served President Ngo Dinh Diem in many official trips within the Republic of South Vietnam. VNAF began with a few hand-picked men chosen to fly alongside French pilots during the State of Vietnam era. It eventually grew into the world's sixth largest air force at the height of its power, in 1974. It was dissolved in 1975 after the Fall of Saigon. On the her final mission of transporting the Ally VIPs to Vung Tau city, due to windshear, the C-47 eW crashed when she was about to land on the Vung Tau airstrip. Luckily there were no fatal casualties. She flies again in my repaint. Thanks to Manfred Jahn for his great model!
