Douglas C-47 Skytrain Rosinenbomber Candy Bomber D-CXXX of Air Service Berlin. Candy Bomber (in the United States known as Candy bomber or raisin bomber ) is the colloquial name for the aircraft of the Allies at the time of the Berlin Airlift , the West Berlin supplied with food and other important items. This included very significantly as fuel briquettes .The name refers to the voluntary aid packages before landing and before the actual distribution of the US aircraft crews of small homemade parachutes dropped from airplanes to make the waiting children happy. The discarded packet contained mostly chocolate and chewing gum and probably raisins. My repaint shows how she looks today 2014. Every possible detail is shown. Thanks to Manfred Jahn for his great model!
