Installation instructions for CFS3
AIRCRAFT:
1. The aircraft installs in the normal way. Unzip using the "use folder names" option to your Combat Flight Simulator 3 folder. If you feel uncomfortable with doing it this way, unzip to a temporary folder first, then copy the files to you respective CFS3 folder.
Cockpit:
Accurate F-86 cockpit with airspeed and altitude indicators on the HUD.
Rearview mirror for checking your six when in combat.
Weapons:
Included in this package are custom weapons correct for the Korean War time period.
History:
In 1953 the 4th FIW participated in the U.S.Air Forces top secret evaluation of 20mm cannons. Called Project 'Gun Val' several F-86F Sabres had there standard armament of 6 50.cal machine guns replaced with 4 experimental 20mm cannons. The GE T-130 cannon had a high rate of fire, allowing for only 6 seconds of fire from the 4 guns with 100 rounds of ammunition per gun. The tests were considered a success and a production version of the gun were incorporated into the post-Korean War F-86H and later the F-100 Super Sabre.
Installation:
This will create a new plane for your aircraft folder. To install just unzip to your DPC_CFS3_Korea folder. The aircraft will appear in your aircraft menu as F-86F Gunval. The Korean Theater Conversion Set (KTCS) is required for this aircraft to function.
