Thunderbolt Operations, First Phase, 25-31 Jan 1951. Yeah, its cold. Operation Thunderbolt, also known as The Battle over Carpet of Dead CCF, took place just after the CCF pushed the UN forces out of Seoul during 1-15 Jan 1951 Chinese communist offensive. This element of the entire battle needed 3 waves of aircraft to blast clear a staging area for the push to Kimp O airfield. The first, high overhead, is a division of B-29s, each flight assigned to a factory or airbase. Next will come the flying tank destroyers to stop a rolling tank division from forming up at Seoul airfield. Then comes a flight of C-47s carrying paratrooper reinforcements to support the troops following our tanks. Will require several add-ons from CFS3 to run these missions.
