The US Forces have left the islands and Emirau now is a sleeping place yust in the nowhere of nothing. Sometimes some tourist reach this island by boat or by little planes.
The old US airbase now just got one runway back. the second runway is closed and in very bad shape. The airport on Eloaua Island is still activ. The old one on Mussau island is nomore active and just a strip in very bad condition. No place to land with planes (but you still can try)
There is a AI boat traffic round the island with some ships and also there are carrier groups nearby so you can start at Emirau and land on carrier. There are us carrier groups to the north of Emirau, to the north west of Mussau and a french task force is sailing in the south of Emirau.... just passsing by.
A second version of this island is inside this package too. It shws up a (fictive) US military airbase. US forces come back to the island for military exercise and build up a provisional airbase. There is a very extensive ai-traffic in air for this base.
