The B&V P.185 was Blohm & Voss proposed replacement for the long-obsolete Junkers Ju-87 Stuka dive-bomber. Designed in 1943, the project would have a similar inverted gull wing as its predecessor. The BV.P.185 was distinguished by its unusually high tailplane and oddly positioned tail fins. The two crew plane was to be powered by two conventional nine cylinders BMW 323 Bramo Fafnir or fourteen BMW 801 engines. Landing gears were to be housed within the over-large engine nacelles and in the plane's tail. Two MG 151 20mm cannons, operated by the pilot, were situated in the nose to provide offensive fire. Another crew member in the tail would command two remote MG 131 13mm machine guns. A belly pod was considered for a 75mm or 2 MK 103 37mm cannons. The proposed maximum load was three 500kg bombs (or one 1,800kg bomb in overload condition) under the fuselage.

Erwin Welker package provides aircraft in five variants and four paint schemes:

A) Dive bomber;
B) Tank killer with two 37 mm cannons;
C) Tank killer with 75 mm cannon;
D) Night fighter with an additional twin MG131 gun turret;
E) Maritime attack variant.
