This repaint represents U.S. Air Force North American F-100D 56-3048 of the 309th Tactical Fighter Squadron Wild Ducks, 31st TFW, circa 1969. 048 was piloted by Captain Dave "Moose" Speros and Crew Chiefed by S/Sgt. Robert Smith. 56-3048 survived the war to serve with 3 different ANG squadrons from 1971 - 79. It was converted in 1982 to a QF-100D and was destroyed in missile tests sometime after that.
