DH87B Hornet Moth floatplane for CFS2 by UncleTgt
This is adapted from my revision of the FS2004 DH87B by Frank Elton.
Due to the extensive nature of the MDL revisions, it is uploaded as a complete aircraft for ease of installation.
I used G-Max to revise the texture mapping, making camo repaints possible. I replaced Frank's pilot figure with adaptions of the crew figures from Dave Garwood's Anson. The model animations were revised, adding opening cabin doors & making the prop disk a 3D disc, like that used by Akemi on his models. To depict the floatplane version, & removed the gear & replaced it with some new pontoon floats. I created a new waterland fx to fit the model.
The panel was revised & made WIN 7 safe.
The airfile is completely revised, & the dp file is new.
The textures included are:
P6786 Based on a single photo, P6786 was one of four aircraft procured by the RAF for floatplane trials during 1937.
5600 Based on a written description of a camouflaged floatplane used by the RCAF during 1940.
To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.
Thanks to
Frank Elton for the original FS2004 Hornet Moth.
Allen for his DOSmdlc_2, making shine & mdl size changes possible in WIN7+, & his MCX/GMax model conversion tutorial.
Shessi for prompting me to (finally) get a handle on how G-Max displays gloss & shine with it's materials.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
