The new generation "Cat" provided the 800 Squadron aircrews with a superior air carrier fighter. The HMS Emperor was to become the eyes of the admiralty in flying strike air cover and artillery spotting throughout Operations Overlord and Dragoon. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model.
