The Fieseler Fi 156P Storch was developed for counter insurgency ("Polizei") missions and equipped with machine guns in side windows and bomb-racks for 50kg bombs or smoke dispensers. It was used for troop harassment missions at night with 50kg bombs as well as other mission assignments that included laying smoke to obscure targets from Allied air attack.
