This repaint shows USAF C-54D 42-72622 c/n 10727 in a Pacific Air Force (PACAF) paint sheme of 1956. This Skymaster was build 1945 in Chicago with line number 458. Was used as transport/vip and rocket recon aircraft in Tachikawa AFB for 374th Troop Carrier Wing/Group FEAF Far East Airforce. Later in the sixties, 42-72622 was redesigned to search and rescue SC-54D, later to HC-54D as 72-72622 (0-72622) until 1973. Scrapped in 1979.
