This repaint shows C-54G N12191 c/n 36072 in Air America paint sheme of 1969. Build in Santa Monica. Became USAF 45-619. Bought by Air America on 27th. September 1965, as the USAF requested FAA-certificated and US-registered aircraft to be used on the Booklift contract from Japan to South Korea. This Skymaster was based at Tachikawa AFB.

In June 1968, N12191 received damage to the left horizontal stabilizer, when the tip partially separated prior to landing at Iwakuni; was repaired. In November 1968, N12191 was involved in a lightning strike and/or static build-up, but was repaired too.

Sold to Air Distribution, Honolulu, in 1973 but company went bankrupt in 1975; the aircraft was stored at Tainan. Sold to Air Asia in 1976 and later to E-Systems, Dallas in 1978 as N404AD. Sold to Air Cargo Enterprises in 1978 and to Hayes Intl. in 1979, but leased back to Air Cargo Enterprises the same day. Sold to Pacific Air Express, Honolulu in 1982 as N300JT. Crashed after engine failure on approach to Kahului on 29 June 83. W/o.
