FS98/CFS Heinkel He 100 D-0 By Bernd Rossner
The Heinkel He 100 would have been a superior partner or even successor of the Me 109. This "white 12" was often shown on photographs for propaganda purposes as He 113. Heinkel only built 25 He 100D-0 on his own account. Three were sold to Japan where the influence became visible in the Kawasaki Ki-61 "Hien". Yakovlev in the USSR analyzed the He 100 for his fighters Yak-1 and Yak-3. A few He 100 were used to defend the Heinkel facilities at Rostock.
