My tribute to Otto Lilienthal. The first successful manned fight. After 40 years of flying with Microsoft Flight Simulator, not one model of the first manned flight has been made. This is the STURMFLÜGEL MODELL (STORM WING MODEL) made in 1894. This is a first for me. Now I can share my work with you all. Thank you, Mako8841 2-19-2023.
Karl Wilhelm Otto Lilienthal (May 23, 1848 in Anklam – August 10, 1896 in Berlin) was a German aviation pioneer. He is considered to be the first person to successfully and repeatedly carry out gliding flights (over 2000) with a flying machine (glider) and thus helped the flight principle heavier than air to the first human application and thus paved the way for its later success.
