This repaint represents Boeing C-97A (later converted to "D" standard) Stratofreighter 49-2590 of the USAF Military Air Transport Service, Pacific Division, Travis Air Force Base, Ca. 1949 - 1966. This aircraft was the 29th C-97 manufactured and the 2nd of the second batch of 23 off the Boeing assembly line. It was converted late in its service life to "D" model standard. Its entire service life was spent in MATS and it was retired to MASDC in March 1966.
