• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

The Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-5 with construction number (0150) 1227 was one of a series of 712 aircraft built between January 1943 and August 1943. The aircraft was manufactured in April 1943 at the Focke-Wulf factory in Mariënburg. (now Malbork Poland)

The aircraft was delivered in May 1943 and went to 4./JG54 which flew from Siverskaya near Leningrad (now Petersburg, where the aircraft was complete repainted in a typical Eastern front scheme. On Monday July 19th 1943, after a ground attack mission the engine failed. The pilot, Feldweber Paul Rätz performed a successful belly landing near Voibakala, where the aircraft remained until is was discovered in 1989 and recovered in 1991.

It has been restored in flying conditions and is now owned by the Flying Heritage Collection in the last scheme this aircraft had. But these textures represent the aircraft how it looked factory fresh, with and without theater markings, before it was repainted by JG54 (During the restoration, both schemes were found on the aircraft).

To use these textures you should have a legal version of the Classics Hangar FW190 A-5 installed in Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX). The Fw190 A-5 can both be found in the "Fw190A late variants" package and the "Fw190A compilation". The textures were done for the late variants version, this is why perhaps the included texture configuration file might direct to the wrong folder. In that case replace the texture configuration file with one of the files found in the original texture folders.

Enjoy.
