Textures for the Virtavia V2 Hampden

P5436 was one of 80 Hampdens built by Canadian Associated Aircraft between September 1940 and August 1941. It was operating with RCAF 32 OTU, based at Patricia Bay, when on Nov 15, 1942, at 11:35 it crashed into the water in Saanich inlet after a practice torpedo run. The airplane stalled in a left turn from 800 ft. The crew suffered only minor injuries and were picked up by a Stranraer flying boat within 15 minutes. The airframe was recovered in 1986 from a depth of 600 ft and is currently on display at the Canadian Museum of Flight at Langley Airport in British Columbia.
