This folder contains a repaint for the Hawker Hurricane by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of H-33 of the Belgian Air Force, 1940. The Belgian Air Force received 11 Hurricane before the start of WWII, and received one Hurricane that was built by Avions Fairey under license. All Belgian Hurricanes were operated by Squadron 2/I/2Aé (Chardon), commanded by Capt. Marcel Charlier and were based at Schaffen. This aircraft, H-33, was damaged in a confrontation with a Dornier Do-17 over Durbuy on the 12th of March 1940. Its pilot, Sgt. Pierre van Strijdonck made a successful belly landing at Pallenge, and was not hurt himself. The other Hurricanes were all destroyed during the first two days of fighting after the German invasion of Belgium.
