Hurricane Mk.I L2006 Y, 11 Group Pilot Pool, RAF Sutton Bridge, 1939.
L2006, an early Gloster-built Hurricane, carried factory-applied markings in the pre-war bright shades of red and blue,
and these were not replaced when the underside was painted Trainer Yellow. L2006 stayed at Sutton Bridge throughout the War, and was involved in more accidents than any other aircraft based there.
