Usio's IJN Hatsuyuki. A "Fubuki" class Destroyer, launched Sep 1928, commissioned Mar 1929. Operated off China, Malayan peninsular invasions, the Battle of Sunda Strait, Sumatra, Midway, then the Solomons, on "Tokyo Express" duties. On 17 July 1943, while docked at Shortland, a USAAF airstrike sent a bomb into her after magazine and she sunk in shallow water.
