Usio's IJN Isuzu. A Nagara class light cruiser, Isuzu was commissioned 15 Aug 1923, on China patrols pre-war. Damaged in the Second Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, returned to Japan for repairs and upgrades.Further convoy escort resulted in more heavy damage and in Jan 1944 was converted to an Anti-aircraft Cruiser. Sunk 7 Apr 1945 off Sumbawa, DEI, by submarines USS Gabilan & USS Char.
