Usio's IJN Suzuya. A Mogami class Heavy Cruiser, launched Nov 1934, commissioned Oct 1937. Served in the Malaya invasion, D.E.I., Indian ocean raids, Midway, the Solomons and the Phillipines. On 25 October 1944, in the Battle off Samar, in the Leyte Gulf, Suzuya was attacked by up to 40 Avengers in 2 waves, taking mortal damage, was abandoned and sank shortly after.
