At the begining of the Korean War the North Koreans put their AirForce to good use supporting the Army. Using it for ground support they were able to overrun the South Korean positions. On July 3,1950 USs Valley Forge CV 45 and HMS Triumph started operations on the west coast of Korea and 10 days later on the East coast. Within two weeks the North Korean Air Force was ineffective.
