L-188 Electra Airtanker Package

L-188 Electra Airtanker Package 2024-05-01

No permission to download
Their fantastic L-188 Electra model remains largely unchanged aside from the addition of an external tank to represent the iconic airtanker version that many fly as today. Additions include a tweaked auto smoke system for the engine exhaust so that it is automatically toggled to allow for the smoke system to be used by the owner for their own custom retardant/water effects or for equipping it for use in FireFighterX. A payload station was also added for payload management in the sim or with FFX. FSX users will have unique tailflash thumbnails. I have created a number of repaints for this aircraft to represent the wide array used. The Electras in air tanker configuration primarily operate in the Great White North of Canada. But do make their way down into the US on bad fire years, 2020 is one of those years. The Primary operators of the Electra in airtanker configuration are Air Spray, Buffalo Airways, and Conair. Air Spray being the largest operator with 9 Electras in tanker config. Followed by Buffalo with 2, and Conair with 1 as of 2020.

This package comes with 2 4K HD textured aircraft. One from Air Spray, T-481 in the L-188C (AT) and T-60 from Conair in the L-188C (F) variant.

I have created the entire Air Spray Fleet in 2 packs as well as Buffalo.

All in 4K textures as well.

This will result in LARGE file sizes for those repaint packs.

This pack contains only 2 models, the passenger and freighter versions, but with the completion of the package.

It will also represent the A models at least in external appearance.

The additional repaints have been released along with this aircraft, but separate due to the large file sizes of the textures.

Built and tested in P3Dv4.5, but is compatible from FSX up to V5 of P3D.

Original Aircraft Credit belongs to FS KBT, air tanker conversion and repaints by Nicholas Mitchell "Scorch00".
