French Aeronavalle float plane of the immediate pre-war period. Although designed as a torpedo bomber when war came to France in May 1940 the French had to resort to using the 298 as a battlefield dive bomber. (with mixed results)
After the armistice the Vichy forces were allowed to keep some as patrol/recce aircraft, the Germans took a couple for evaluation and one escaped to Malta where it was put to use by the RAF.
