Lublin R-XIII G.zip 2024-05-15

A float-plane version of the observation aircraft. At the outbreak of war there were about a dozen Lublin float planes based at Puck on the Hel Peninsula in the Bay of Danzig. On the night of Sept 7th one of these aircraft attempted to attack the German battleship 'Schleswig Holstein' which had been shelling Polish positions at Westerplatte near Danzig - without success. The next day all the aircraft at the Hel base were destroyed in a German air raid.
