MBC Studios Object Library for FSX

If you have been around in the FS scene long enough to place API objects chances are high that you know Andrej Urosevic. His flightsim objects are outstanding, combining a stunning look with cool features like rotating radar domes.

Like many great modelers he has moved on and there would be no chance to see his objects again in true FSX format if not for the skills and ideas of Arno Gerretsen. Arno is the author of the tool ModelConverterX, which allows to convert objects between certain model formats. The development of ModelConverterX is ongoing, so check out the forum from time to time
(http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=87).

I have been trusted and authorized by Andrej Urosevic to convert his API models into FSX format and make them available again.

Installation:

1. Copy the library into FSX. - In the same folder as this readme file you see a subfolder "MBC Studios ObjLib." Copy or move this folder into the folder "Addon Scenery" that exists below your FSX installation directory.

2. Register the library in FSX - To add the new object library to the FSX scenery library, start FSX, select Settings, and then Scenery Library. Add the folder "MBC Studios ObjLib" that you have just copied over.

3. Install the effects - Copy all files from the effect folder (fx_light*.fx) into the FSX effects folder.

4. Install the Instant Scenery Thumbnails (optional) - I don't know any more convenient way to add objects to a scenery than the tool Instant Scenery. It is a payware from Flight1 which allow you to place objects directly in FSX.

To install the preview thumbnails for Instant Scenery you extract the zip file "ObjLib-MBC-Studios.bgl.zip" (located in the same folder as this readme file).

Copy or move the folder "ObjLib-MBC-Studios.bgl" into the folder: "%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Instant Scenery Files\thumbnails\ThumbnailMaker output."

The copyright and authorship of the objects are © MBC Studios (Andrej Urosevic).

The copyright and authorship of ModelConverterX is © Arno Gerretsen

The copyright and authorship of Instant Scenery is © Flight1 Software
