This is a repaint of the awesome Milviz F-4J Phantom II representing F-4J Bu. No. 153783 of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four (VX-4) based at Point Mugu NAS, California during the 1970's. The black paint scheme was applied as an experimental night 'camouflage' scheme, and the 'Playboy' bunny was applied to the vertical tail to emulate the scheme carried by Hugh Heffner's private DC-9. The bunny was subsequently applied to all the squadron's aircraft till VX-4 was disestablished in 1994. Subsequent to its service with VX-4, 3783 was refurbished and upgraded and sold to the RAF as ZE352 (G) of 74 Squadron at RAF Coltishall. Broken up in 1991, the front fuselage was purchased privately and is believed to still exist.
