his is a repaint of the Milviz P-38L. This is one of the aircraft involved in the finding and shoot down of the G4M "Betty" Bomber with Admiral Yamamoto aboard. This is Miss Virginia, flown by Rex Barber. This aircraft was originally piloted by Lt. Robert Pettit. He had severely damaged a submarine chaser and had a ship image painted on the nose. Also on the nose are two victory markings denoting the downing of two A6M2-N Rufes in 1943. Here is "Miss Virginia." Repaint by Tom Stovall, based on the paint kit by Milviz.
