CFS2 Mosquito modified BIV, 4000 lbs cookie AZX livery of 627 sqn. At the beginning of 1944,
some BIV were modified to carry a 4000 lbs bomb, also called cookie, or dangerous dustbin.
The modification simply consisted of a bulged bomb bay. The same solution was adopted for later marks, IX and XVI.
Early 44, modified mossie could carry 500 lbs more load than the contemporary B17, faster, further,
with a 2 members crew instead of 11. A truly remarkable aircraft...
