MS406c1 N?842 L-871, Lt Laurent, EC565, Ivato-Tananarive, Madagascar, April 1942. Lt Laurent was shot down in this aircraft by three Martlets ( Royal Navy Wildcats) of No.881 Sqn FAA, during the "Liberation" of Madagascar by British and Empire Forces. With EC555, flying Potez 25s and 63-11s, EC565 made up the Groupement Aerien Mixte Madagascar, which put up a non-negligeable degree of resistance to the Allies.
