This campaign is an updated freeware version of the older “Flight 1 – Double Trouble” pack found at the Just Flight website. It has been completely overhauled with newer aircraft, scenery, and expanded in the aircraft you encounter and fight alongside in order to better reflect the different types of aircraft available. The premise of the campaign is still the same…as a Mustang pilot, you fly as a member of the 352nd fighter squadron out of Bodney, part of the “Blue-nosed bastards,” flying various missions including bomber escort, airbase defense, fighter sweeps, and U-boat hunts, repeatedly knocking heads with the ‘Abbeville boys’…German fighter pilots equipped with Focke-Wulf Fw-190s.
As a German fighter pilot, you fly out of Abbeville, France defending what’s left of “Fortress Europe” in an attempt to prevent the Allied war machine from advancing through France and into Germany. You will be flying fighter sweeps, ground attack, bomber intercept, and anti-ship missions all in an attempt to stem the Allied onslaught. Your direct rivals are the “Blue-nosed bastards” of the 352 fighter squadron, based at the Bodney aerodrome. You will encounter them repeatedly over the course of the campaign.
