Pacific Ghosts - P-40M RAAF 2OTU
A29-310 was a P-40M-5 which was originally allocated the USAAF serial 43-5508 before being delivered to the RAAF in March 1943. It was operated by No. 2 Operational Training Unit at Mildura, Victoria and was flown by Sqn Ldr Lou Spence on at least one occasion. The aircraft was involved in a crash landing on January 11, 1945 where it received minor damage. In July 1947 the aircraft was destroyed at the Werribee bombing range.
