This folder contains a repaint for the Shockwave Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-23-RA 42-27978 "Betty", an aircraft of the 316th FS/324th FG. It was involved in a landing accident on 21/01/1945 at Luneville, France, while being piloted by Richard Weitz. Apparently it was repaired, because it was destroyed after an emergency landing due to an engine fire on 09/03/1945, while being piloted by Harry Hershberger. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by Martin Catney
