This pack contains six skins for the RobH/Hewman100 and Co AH Hurricane MkIIb pack. The MkIIb was an up-gunned version of the Eight gun MkIIa. Hawkers manage to shoehorn two extra Browning .303 machineguns into each wing, just outboard of the landing lights, for a total of twelve. The MkIIb served on all fronts during WW2 in both fighter and fighter/bomber (also known as the Hurribomber) versions. The aircraft represented by these skins are....... BE171, coded YB-B of 17 Sqn based at Mingaladon, Burma in early 1942. Red 48 is a 26 IAP aircraft serving in the Moscow PVO during winter 1941-42. Z3427 was operated by 121 (Eagle) Squadron, RAF, who were based at Kirton-in-Lindsey in the summer of 1941. Z3437 was supplied to 312 (Czechoslovakian) Sqn, RAF and flown by F/Sgt O Kucera performing "Hurribomber" interdiction and ground attack duties. Z3768 was operated by 81 Sqn of 151 Wing, RAF based at Vaenga in the USSR in September 1941 before being handed over to Soviet forces. Z4007 belonged to 335 (Greek) Sqn, RAF based at Mersa Matruh in early 1943. Many thanks to the folks at AH for the original aircraft and to Gavinc for his permission to muck about with his Hurris. The artwork for the skins came from Wings Palette and Hewman100, so many thanks to them and, of course, many thanks to RobH, Hewman100, Kelticheart and all the guys who made and tested the original MkIIb pack (Please see RobH Readme in this pack for a full cast of characters) and to Cryingtoto, Alphasim and Maxstuka for the weapons. Cheers.PomBee.
