Repaint for a Turboporter in service with the Lao Royal Air Force, circa 1965.
Textures only; requires the gorgeous PC-6C from Tim "Piglet" Conrad (pc-6c_h2turboporter.zip).
Fictitious texture based on the movie "Air America" representing Laotian General Soong's aircraft used to recuperate his opium cargo after the downing of Air America's aircraft by Viet Minh fire. The aircraft Laotian roundels are historically correct whereas the tail number and the identification letters ("Poppy") in particular as well as Soong's name and star are fictitious and used as a wink at the mixed part time humanitarian relief aid, arms and drug trafficking which went on during that period...
The camo paint used is based on the USAF's FS paint numbers of that era as most of the planes in use were supplied by America to Laos to counteract the Soviet supplied weapons to the Pathet Lao insurgents and their North Vietnamese allies (Viet Minh).
Please read the "README" file for other interesting historical facts concerning the movie "Air America"...
